Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)We are looking for a Team Leader to lead Odyssey's prison-based team delivering AOD programmes at Christchurch Men's Prison.Odyssey House Christchurch and Purapura Whetu work together in partnership alongside Ara Poutama, Department of Corrections, to provide holistic health and wellbeing programmes within a multi-disciplinary team to support tangata whaiora affected by problematic alcohol and other drug (AOD) use challenges.You will support and lead a team of clinical, peer support, aftercare and whanau workers, providing a multi-disciplinary approach to working with our client group and work in collaboration with other prison-based teams to provide the best possible treatment options for our clients.In this role, you will be:Leading a multi-disciplinary team of clinical, peer support, aftercare and whanau workersDemonstrating your proven clinical AOD experience. A knowledge of community-based services and supports would also be beneficial.Facilitating groups and individual interventions as appropriateUsing a strengths-based approach to developing elective topics and activitiesLiaising and working with stakeholdersFacilitating team meetingsContributing as a Team Leader to wider Odyssey goalsTo be successful in this role, you will:Hold a Registration with an allied health profession such as Social Work, OT, NZAC, DAPAANZ etcWork behind the wire in the prison environmentHave excellent organisational skills as you juggle clinical and leadershipHave experience leading a team effectivelyA good understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and knowledge of tikanga Maori /te reoA non-judgmental approach to working with tangata whaioraYou will be part of a dedicated team and a valued member of the wider Odyssey whanau.
