Te Turanga /About the Role
As a Team Leader in Secondary Butchery at our Belfast site, you will be responsible for providing operational support to your team on the floor to meet daily production requirements, as well as observing and monitoring quality and safety compliance. The Secondary Butchery is the Department where carcases are broken down into cuts and packed.

This is a Night Shift position and interested applicants will need to be available Monday to Friday 4:30pm – 2am approx.
Some responsibilities include:
Communicating what food safety, quality and compliance requirements are, specific to your team, and actively observing the process to ensure these are maintained at all times
Training and coaching members of your team to understand what specifications and production targets mean and how they relate to the team member's work
Organising daily production requirements in conjunction with your manager and clearly communicating this with your team

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate leadership qualities and experience, ideally from your time spent working in the manufacturing, FMCG or primary industries; and be driven by building a safe, quality focused and positive culture within your team. You will be confident with identifying areas for improvement within the plant and have a desire to progress your career in the red meat industry where opportunities are endless. There will be opportunity for the right candidate to progress through the business with support and ongoing training and development.

Experience in the food processing industry would be beneficial
Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills
