As a Team Leader in Secondary Butchery at our Te Aroha site, you will be responsible for providing operational support to your team on the floor by proactively supporting them to meet their daily production requirements, as well as observing and monitoring quality and safety compliance. With the support of the leadership team, you will have the chance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and grow your career with a range of development opportunities.This is a day shift position so the successful applicant will need to be available from Monday to Friday; approx. 5am-3pm, with Saturdays over time as required. Some responsibilities include: Communicate what food safety, quality and compliance requirements are specific to your team and actively observe the chain to ensure these are maintained at all times.Train and coach members of your team to understand what specifications and production targets mean and how they relate to the team member's work.Organise daily production requirements in conjunction with your manager and clearly communicate this with your team. About You: The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities and experience from their time in the manufacturing, FMCG or primary industries; and be driven by building a safe, quality-focused and positive culture within their team.
