Te Turanga | About the role:As a Team Leader in Lamb Secondary at our Finegand site in Balclutha, you will be responsible for providing hands on support to your team on the floor by proactively supporting them to meet their daily production requirements, as well as observing and monitoring quality and safety compliance.
With the support of the leadership team, you will have the chance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and grow your career with a range of development opportunities.This is a day shift position, with hours generally falling between 5.30am- 3.30pm.Responsibilities include:Communicate what food safety, quality and compliance requirements are specific to your team and actively observe the chain to ensure these are maintained at all timesTrain and coach members of your team to understand what specifications and production targets mean and how they relate to the team member's workOrganise daily production requirements in conjunction with your manager and clearly communicate this with your teamOu Pukenga | About You:You'll have leadership qualities and experience from your time in the manufacturing, FMCG or primary industries; and be driven by building a safe, quality focused and positive culture within a team.
You will be confident with identifying areas for improvement within the plant and have a desire to progress your career in the red meat industry.
