We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Revenue to lead and inspire our Revenue team.
This important role involves overseeing the collection, recording, and reporting of revenue, ensuring efficiency and compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.
Ko tenei turanga mahi | About this role As the Team Leader Revenue, you'll use your proven leadership skills to coach and support a dedicated team of eight to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Your key responsibilities will include: Engaging and inspiring your team, ensuring they have a clear sense of our purpose, and are coached and developed towards their potential.
Managing and developing the Revenue team to achieve operational and strategic goals.
Implementing revenue policies, procedures, and practices to maximize collection efficiency and minimize risks.
Providing advice and support to internal stakeholders regarding revenue-related matters.
Ensuring compliance with Local Government Act, Local Government Rating Act and other internal reporting requirements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address any revenue issues that arise.
About you | Ko nga pumanawa ou To thrive in this role, you will need: Experience in team leadership in a financial setting, you will bring a high level of knowledge in accounting principles and audit controls.
The ability to bring out the best in others, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to develop strong relationships with direct reports, and internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements related to revenue collection.
Local government experience would be beneficial but we are willing to grow the right leaders in this.
Exceptional analytical skills with a solution focused mindset.
You will possess a keen attention to detail.
A proactive approach with the ability to lead and motivate a team, promoting a culture of success and continuous improvement.
A relevant financial tertiary qualification or relevant life experience in this sector.
