We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Leader for our Regulatory Administration team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and driving a high-performing, customer-focused team that delivers solutions in alignment with Council strategies, policies, and community needs.In this role, you will set strategic direction, foster a positive public profile, and ensure effective service delivery, consistently exceeding service excellence standards. Your strong leadership and strategic planning will support the smooth operation of our Regulatory Services function, contributing to a high-performing culture across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:Lead the administration support for Regulatory Solutions processes, covering areas like Land Information, Environmental Health, Alcohol Licensing, Parking, Freedom Camping, Resource Consents, Bylaws, and City Development/Policy.Oversee administration support for animal control functions within the Regulatory Solutions portfolio.Provide administrative support to help Council fulfill its Secretary role under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.Ensure effective contract management through record-keeping and reporting.Maintain rosters and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.Foster a high-performing, skilled team with a strong customer and solutions-oriented culture.Promote proactive support for health, safety, and wellbeing strategies.Supervise and guide employees following Council policies and a customer-focused regulatory framework.Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff development, including coaching and mentoring.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Administration, Management, or a related field.At least 5 years in a senior administrative role, ideally in regulatory or local government.Minimum 2 years in a leadership role, with experience coaching or guiding team members.Proven ability to lead and manage a team.Experience in process and system improvements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and high computer literacy.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.This is a permanent full-time position, based at our Dunvegan House location.
