Details of the offer

The Finance department consists of 20 staff who make up a supportive team that always ensure that deadlines are met. The department is split into a number of small teams including Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Rates, Management accounting and Financial accounting.
As the team leader of our dedicated Rates team, you'll be overseeing everything regarding Rates for the Marlborough District Council. You will ensure the rates invoices (the largest percentage of income for the council) are produced accurately and delivered in a timely manner, inspire the team to surpass expectations in delivering outstanding customer service every day. Its about fostering growth and development, creating an environment where each member can thrive.

A Salary range of $81,000 to $90,000 (this will depend on the knowledge, skills and experience you have to offer). Whilst experience in rating is preferred, it is not essential if you are self-motivated and have an aptitude for personal development.
You will also have:
An NZ Diploma in Business or similar. Proven leadership skills with a track record in motivating teams to achieve performance benchmarks. Computer literacy including finance systems. Credit control and debt collection experience. Solid organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaborative skills, working effectively with senior management to align activities with strategic goals.
