You will be involved with ongoing service development that will allow you to use your expertise and skills. You will be an integral part of the team, providing support and leadership, as well as pro-active day-to-day support to enable the people you support to live safely and be actively involved in their community.While your roster will usually be 7.00 AM to 3.30 PM weekdays, we work with flexibility over 7 days including evening and weekend work. Our goal is to embed Enabling Good Lives in our daily practices.About the Team/Service/LocationLive Life Disability Support provides support to over 250 people, who have disabilities, to achieve their personal aspirations and choices in a variety of residential and respite settings across the Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough regions. We are a community-based disability support service focused on quality-of-life outcomes and the Enabling Good Lives Principles.We support each person to manage their day-to-day lives in ways and at times that work for them. This could involve anything from assisting with personal cares to behaviour support and living the life in the community.The people we support have a wide range of abilities and we focus on enabling good lives by being inclusive and actively encouraging family and whanau input.About YouYou will have:Inspiring leadership skills and a strong commitment to the principles of person-centred support;Hold a minimum NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4), or an equivalent health or disability related qualification as assessed by the Ministry of Health;Sound knowledge of Person-Centred support as well as good time management skills.Experience working in the field of disability or youth social services would be advantageous.This role is classified by Immigration as ANZSCO 423111 and applicants for this position must be eligible to work in New Zealand.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.How to ApplyTo view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
