This position is fulltime permanent, and the successful candidate will be based from our Distribution site in East Tamaki.
About the roleSome of the things you'll get up to in this role include:
Responding to inbound inquiries via phone and email.Preparing quotes & processing orders.Proactively following up with customers to get their feedback.Assisting in the day-to-day performance of the branch, including stock management and other administrative responsibilities.Building team cohesion and performance.Interacting with the external Sales team and Warehousing teams to ensure a high level of customer service is obtained.Leading the Internal Sales team and delegating tasks where necessary.Monitor, review and analyse market dynamics to report new and emerging trends, and to develop and implement systems, procedures and projects, to achieve business outcomes and improve performance standards.Honor all commitments in relation to call-backs, follow-ups, promises etc.We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:Intermediate level or above Computer Skills.Great attention to detail.Fantastic warm and friendly telephone manner.Experience in customer facing role and values a high level of customer service.Ability to be flexible and work in a small team environment and assist where necessary.Proven aptitude in leadership - motivating and developing high-performing teams.Previous substantial experience in a customer service management or team leadership role.Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and retention through effective team management and strategic initiatives.Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise with both customers and internal stakeholders.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.Demonstrable experience in coaching, training and developing high-performing teams.A customer-centric mindset and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.At Vulcan, Health and Safety comes above all else.
