The purpose of the Team Leader is to manage the daily performance of a team. They ensure that the processes used by their team run smoothly so that products are sorted according to agreed processing criteria and service performance targets.You may also be required to provide backup in the Manager's absence.A good level of initiative and innovation is expected to react and adapt to a highly competitive and dynamic business environment. Some degree of discretion to make decisions is allowed as long as they are consistent with and support overall business goals and strategies.
