As the team leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing and guiding our Pasifika mental health team. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of services, ensuring high standards of care, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and clients. The role requires collaboration with community organizations, stakeholders, and other health services to enhance service delivery.
Health Pasifika is a dynamic team that provides secondary mental health services to Pacific people over the age of 18. The service focuses on minimizing and managing the impact of mental health problems experienced by Pacific people. Timely access to a comprehensive range of clinical assessment and treatment services, supported by culturally appropriate engagement with Pacific families, is essential. Health Pasifika also provides some therapy and short-term focused care and can facilitate access to other Pacific health and social service providers in the community.
We are a small, dynamic multidisciplinary team who enjoys working together and celebrating achievements. A sense of humour is important.
As the ideal candidate, you will be energized and enjoy being challenged to support new initiatives. You will have a strong understanding of Pacific cultures and the specific mental health needs of Pacific communities and be passionate about healthcare and equity for Pasifika people.
There will be an ability to work in partnership with local Pasifika communities and NGO providers, so having a full driver's license will be required for travel.
You will lead the team through change, working towards best practices and goal-driven outcomes, and have an understanding of and work towards achieving KPIs.
