We are looking for a trusted team leader and fabricator with well above average technical expertise, and the capability to be a role-model for our team members in Highbrook, Auckland. This role is responsible for the overall fabrication of our innovative Aluminium joinery production. A willingness to show diligence, take charge where required, and make decisions for the good of the business, is paramount. Some of your responsibilities will include: Working with the Operations Manager on planning workload and labour hours in the Auckland Factory to ensure the team achieve the required levels of productivity. Ensuring production objectives are met, and all units leaving the factory meet DIFOTIS (delivery in full, on time, in spec) targets. Monitor and eliminate factory reworks. Being a trusted role model, and providing direct supervision to the team, in the areas of manufacturing, H&S, quality, productivity, technical knowledge, and continuous improvement. Provide training and development to new fabricators as necessary. Review competencies against the skills matrix, and records of training are kept. Ensure safety checks are completed. Review hazards and risks on an ongoing basis. Ensure all necessary equipment, fixtures and fittings are safe and functional, perform minor maintenance of equipment and tools as required. About You This is a hands-on role that is an ideal opportunity for someone who will thrive working under pressure, has excellent time management skills and is a natural leader. Ideally, you'll have strong Windows and Doors knowledge, and a proven ability to assimilate and apply technical knowledge. To be successful in this role you will have: 5+ years knowledge of Fabrication in the Aluminium Joinery or Glazing industries High attention to detail and excellent knowledge of joinery suites A willingness to take on responsibility and be a role model and Team Leader, displaying exceptional diligence and reliability Prior leadership experience would be advantageous Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical fitness to meet the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting, bending and repetitive motions) Knowledge and a strong commitment to Health & Safety requirements and legislations If you think you meet the above criteria, we want to hear from you!
