Job Description What will a day in this role look like?
Leading and delivering technical excellence on Geoscience & Remediation Services (GRS) projects such as closed landfill management, transport infrastructure, downstream oil and gas, regulatory peer review, due diligence, stormwater management throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Coaching and mentoring GRS teams in Auckland and Hamilton; providing technical insight and support to early careers professionals.
Client engagement; developing new clients, winning work, and supporting the continued growth of the GRS business.
Actively participating in GRS leadership team meetings and providing input into strategic planning activities to ensure key objectives are achieved.
Championing quality, consistency and collaboration across all platforms.
Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.
Please apply, all applications will be considered. Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology or earth science.
A minimum of 10 years contaminated land experience within a consultancy, council, or similar environment.
Solid experience in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments (preliminary and detailed site investigations) and remediation.
Ability to scope and cost ground investigations in a commercial environment.
Strong field experience and understanding of sampling and monitoring across a variety of media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapour and ground gas.
Ability to supervise field teams and subcontractors.
Detailed understanding of relevant legislation and technical guidelines, and their practical application Willingness to travel, as required, across New Zealand.
