Highly valued by the Waimakariri hapori, our network is well-utilised with consistently strong lending across our collections. Our network comprises three modern libraries located in Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Oxford, and our 24/7 digital library.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced senior library leader to take the helm of our Collections Team – currently comprising eleven direct reports working within our vibrant collections across our network.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of Waimakariri Libraries' collections in all formats. You will also be responsible for leading and overseeing:
Multiple vendor and consortia relationships across physical and digital collections.
The design and implementation of effective library policies for collection development, access, and preservation.
Courier services to ensure our libraries are well-stocked and balanced.
A collections budget that reflects the growing appetite and demand for high-quality, modern library services in our hapori.
