NZCL are looking for energetic and motivated staff to support people in our Residential Support Services.
We are looking for permanent, full-time Team Leaders to work alongside Kiritaki in our Residential Support Services in Christchurch.
What does a Team Leader do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko
We are looking for three experienced Team Leaders. As a Team Leader you will coach and lead a team to provide support for three individuals living in their own homes.
You will:
support the people to access the community and enjoy experiences that they choose
observe and respond to health concerns or support the overall health and wellbeing of the person
coach and guide a team to ensure there is a consistent approach to the support delivered
be part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that people have support that is appropriate and enables them to live their best lives
embed enabling good lives principles into the support provided.

A desire to support people to live incredible lives
Previous experience working with people with disabilities and an ability to cherish and nurture differences
An understanding that we are not here to change people but are here to support them to be who they are
Creative 'out of the box' thinking and a team player
A full NZ driver's licence and ability to transport passengers confidently and safely in our disability vans
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
