We're looking for an amazing leader to help guide the tamariki in both our over twos rooms, Manuka and Kanuka.
Active Explorers Mana is a hidden gem located near Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour. We live and breathe our localised curriculum, helping us to create a sense of Whanaungatanga with our community. Our kaiako act as wayfinders; helping our tamariki navigate their way through their individual learning journeys, supported by our centre taonga, Awarua, Rereroa, Manutangi and Werewere.
We need a strong leader who leads by example and confidently delegates roles and responsibilities, all while maintaining a nurturing and caring nature. With excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong organizational abilities, you will play a vital role in guiding us on our journey.
Manaakitanga is at the heart of our philosophy here at Active Explorers Mana. We value strong relationships with tamariki and whanau and we believe in respect and empowerment.
With an appreciation of Te Ao Maori, your cultural responsiveness and your ability to think on the go will ensure you thrive with us.
If you would love to jump on our waka, we would love to hear from you.
Our offer to you:
A well-resourced centre to cater to your imagination and teaching.
Support from centre management for your professional growth.
Competitive salary and a well-balanced lifestyle.
Opportunity to join the Evolve network of ECE professionals.
Half-day Birthday leave.
Sufficient non-contact hours to ensure effective program planning.
What we're looking for in you:
You are ECE Qualified and hold Current Full or Provisional Teaching Registration.
You teach children in a positive, nurturing way.
Gentle, patient, and empathetic approach to guiding learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Knowledge of ECE regulations.
Join a team where tamariki thrive, individuality is celebrated, and where loving care is a top priority. Apply today – we look forward to meeting you!
