Charities Services sits within the Service Delivery and Operations Branch of the Department of Internal Affairs. Our branch delivers services to our communities. Whether we're helping to register births, deaths or marriages, or assisting in passport applications, community grants or regulating the charitable sector, we're dedicated to serving the needs of New Zealanders.
In Charities Services, we promote trust and confidence in charities, encourage good governance, support charities' efficiency and effectiveness, and require charities to comply with their obligations under the law.
We are looking for someone with leadership experience and external engagement skills to take on an exciting opportunity as our Team Leader Capability in our Engagement and Business Improvement Group.
To succeed in this role you will bring:

Experience leading a high-performing team to deliver a programme of work, ideally in an operational, community development or communications setting.
Knowledge of best practice public or sector engagement, to provide quality information and resources to lift capability and compliance.
Skills and knowledge to work effectively with and for Maori, along with understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The ability to manage and drive team systems and processes to ensure quality delivery of work.
