This mahi will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityWe have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Maori under Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori.We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and Hauora Maori Service colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.As the Team Administrator, you will support the Service Improvement team with day to day administration support to ensure their team's work is delivered on time and to a high-quality standard.This role is based in the Central Region, which is made up of Mid-Central, Whanganui, Capital & Coast Hutt Valley (Wellington Region), Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. You will need to be based in the region. Your location can be discussed at interview stage.Proven experience as a team administrator.Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite.Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality.Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior Ministry officials and with health sector leaders.Experience/skilled in with calendar management and meeting coordination and arrangements.Experience/skilled in with secretariat duties, including meeting minute taking and collation of minutes.Experience/skilled in with financial administration such as processing invoices, reconciling payments and financial reporting as required.Experience/skilled in with making travel arrangements and booking accommodation.Able to proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in systems and process to improve efficiencies.Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join usWhen you join us, you become part of transforming the health system.
