As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive place for students to learn. By working closely with teachers and other staff, you will provide valuable help to those who need a little extra support. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students in their learning.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand the curriculum and complete tasks.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding any concerns or achievements.
Help prepare teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience for all students.
Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or relevant experience working with children in another setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual learners.
Organisational skills to manage classroom activities and assist with lesson planning.
Commitment to promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
