Responsibilities
As a Teacher (SEN) , your duties will include:
Designing and delivering lessons that are adapted to meet the needs of students with SEN .
Collaborating with colleagues to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods to maximise learning outcomes.
Providing emotional and behavioural support to students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Supporting students' personal and social development alongside their academic progress.
Communicating regularly with parents and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to student development.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent, with relevant experience teaching students with SEN .
A strong understanding of SEN and the ability to adapt lessons to cater to individual needs.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development of students.
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
