Secondary (Y7–15) / wharekura, teacher of Y7 or Y8 (homeroom) to senior levels for the beginning of 2025, full time, permanent. We welcome applications from both experienced and beginning teachers, including those graduating at the end of this year.
We are seeking a confident and knowledgeable teacher to join our team. At Mahurangi College, we aim to deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum that is cumulative and highly sequenced, designed with long-term memory in mind. We seek a homeroom teacher for a Year 7 or 8 class who has a passion for, or experience in, structured, scaffolded, whole-class teaching methods.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from (beginning 2025) $61,329 to $103,086 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
