We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our vibrant learning community from the beginning of 2025 until the end of term 3. Hours will range from 13 to 16 hours per week depending on applicant skills.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering engaging and effective NCEA Level 1 commerce to equip students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the dynamic world of commerce.
About the role:
Delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned Y10 and NCEA Level 1 commerce
Creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles
Assessing student progress through effective assessment practices and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to the ongoing development of the Level 1 commerce curriculum within the school
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
We are looking for someone who:
Is willing to teach junior programmes including Y9 digital commerce
Shows commitment to culturally responsive practice
Demonstrates a commitment to student success
Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
Can create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Is proficient in the use of relevant ICT tools for teaching and learning
