Teacher of Technology Engineering – Ref: 1HAjjeFixed term (covering while a staff member is released to work on a time-defined role), part-time (15 hours per week, 0.6 FTTE) position for the 2025 school year (Wednesday, 29 January to Tuesday, 9 December)This is an exciting opportunity to teach at one of New Zealand's leading coeducational schools.Due to a significant increase in student numbers, Waimairi-iri Burnside High School is seeking a skilled engineering teacher to join our technology faculty. This position offers 15 hours per week but flexible days and hours can be negotiated to fit our current engineering programme. The successful applicant will work within a large, collaborative and supportive team contributing to the development and success of students at various levels. You will be confident or show a willingness to learn CAD/CNC software to support students in design work, and you will be able to use traditional and modern equipment.We provide new teaching staff with an effective induction into our community, value and support all teachers through our staff wellbeing programme, and offer pathways and leadership opportunities.Applications close on Monday, 18 November 2024, at 9.00 am.
