Matamata College is a Y9–13 state secondary school in Matamata, Waikato. We have a proud history of student achievement since 1918. Our school is at the hub of our local community which is as rich in history as it is diverse. A strong rural base has given rise to many successful and varied businesses. We have a valued association with local iwi Ngati Hinerangi, Ngati Haua and Raukawa.
We are seeking an experienced, engaging and culturally responsive teacher of science, with a genuine passion for working with young people.
The successful applicant will be able to teach general science up to NCEA Level 1 science classes. They will also be comfortable working as part of a team to implement the new NCEA standards. Please state your senior specialist subject.
They will be collaborative, organised, relational, and capable of catering to a wide range of learning needs. A willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school is also valued.
