Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.
Starting from term 1 2025, we have a vacancy in our successful and well-resourced social science faculty for a teacher of geography. There will also be a requirement to contribute to the teaching of our junior social studies programme. The opportunity arises from the external promotion of a leader within the faculty. As a result, we are currently reviewing our leadership allocation for 2025 and may have opportunities to discuss further at interview.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
