Eastern Hutt is a very multi-cultural, Y1–6 primary school in Lower Hutt and is well supported by a wonderful Board of Trustees and community.
We have a roll of 600, which brings many opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills, and also make a contribution across the school in your areas of passion.
We are looking for an enthusiastic kaiako who can work collaboratively and create innovative learning environments that support our vision: 'Inspired empowered active citizens'.
You need to be passionate about teaching young tamariki, be supportive of a play-based learning environment, and have strengths in teaching a structured approach to literacy.
Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential, and kaiako with strengths in te reo Maori and tikanga, who can contribute to the cultural responsiveness in our kura, are desirable.
