Do you have knowledge and an appreciation of Te Reo me ona tikanga Maori within an educational framework?
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team at King's College.
You will teach Te Reo Maori - Levels 1-8 of the New Zealand curriculum/Te Marautanga o Aotearoa whilst supporting our school's kapahaka group through your knowledge and leadership.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our diverse student group and ensuring a progressive and supportive learning environment, one which fosters inclusivity for all.
Criteria for ApplicationHigh fluency and understanding of Te Reo me ona tikanga MaoriCurrent teacher registration; provisional registration or be studying for a tertiary qualification in teachingAbility to teach to NCEA Level 3 Te Reo MaoriAbility to build strong relationships with our students and their whanauPassionate and dedicated to leading the cultural experience within King's CollegeCollaborative and enjoys contributing and working as part of a teamSkills and CompetenceDemonstrates ability to communicate to parents, teachers, Head of Departments, School Counsellors, and students in a diverse communityDemonstrates commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnershipAbility to develop a learning/pastoral environment that fosters creativity and excellenceCollaborates and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of peopleProven ability in mentoring and coaching students, prefects, and student leadersProvides high-quality, evidence-based reporting ensuring opportunities, risks, and preferred recommendations provide guidance for good decision making.Equal Opportunity Employer: King's College is an equal opportunity employer.
