Aboutthe role We arecurrently seeking a passionate Early Learning (Puna Whakatupu) Teacher to join us at our Hamilton centre, on a casual basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for providinglast-minute cover when a team member is unable to work due to illness or otherreasons. This may involve receiving a call either in the morning or theprevious evening to cover a full day or specific time. Additionally, you'll beinvolved in managing planned leave. Prior to the leave period, you'll have theopportunity to indicate if you are available for all, part of or none of thetime and we will work together to finalise arrangements.
Ourcommitment is to create lasting and enriching experiences for Tamariki andwhanau by providing exceptional holistic educational opportunities throughengaging interactive learning. As an Early Learning Teacher, you will create asafe, culturally enriched learning environment for our tamariki. Your role includesdelivering marau Maori aligned with Te Whariki, documenting tamariki progress,and collaborating with kaimahi and whanau to achieve positive outcomes, whilesupporting our strategic direction. Your impact is diverse and vital tohigh-quality education.
Aboutyou To be successful for this role, you will have thefollowing:
Qualification in Teaching for Early ChildhoodEducation or Primary – Level 7 A current Practicing Certificate issued by theTeaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand. Proven experience working with tamariki. A sound understanding of Maori culture, values,tikanga and te reo. A full NZ Driver's License. This role as classes as a Core Worker and you willneed to pass a safety check under the Children's Act 2014. The role does require some lifting, bending, andstanding for long periods of time. As akaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) is desirable.
