About the role Weare currently seeking a passionate Early Learning (Puna Whakatupu) Teacher to join us on a casual  basis , based in Elgin, Gisborne.
Ourcommitment is to create lasting and enriching experiences for Tamariki andwhanau by providing exceptional holistic educational opportunities throughengaging interactive learning.
As an Early Learning Teacher at Whare Amai Puna Reo , youwill create a safe, culturally enriched learning environment for our tamariki.Your role includes delivering marau Maori aligned with Te Whariki, documentingtamariki progress, and collaborating with kaimahi and whanau to achievepositive outcomes, while supporting our strategic direction.

About you To be successful for this role, you will have thefollowing: Qualification in Teaching for Early ChildhoodEducation or Primary – Level 7 A current Practicing Certificate issued by theTeaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Proven experience working with tamariki.
A sound understanding of Maori culture, values,tikanga and te reo.
A full NZ Drivers License.
This role as classes as a Core Worker and you willneed to pass a safety check under the Childrens Act 2014.
The role does require some lifting, bending andstanding for long periods of time.
As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingnessto participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of AhuatangaMaori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
