Teacher Aide

Teacher Aide, Fixed-Term, Part-Time Te Rito o te Harakeke - Nurture, Learn, Succeed - Together Newlands Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a person who is passionate about working with tamariki, and enjoys working as part of a team.  The successful applicant will work in partnership with Teachers and a specialised team of Teacher Aides to promote the learning and welfare of students with a variety of needs. The position is fixed-term, term-time only, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 12:30pm (17.5 hours per week - depending on the successful applicant's skills and experience, additional hours may be possible). Our successful applicant will have some of the following experiences and skills: Great initiative and a positive attitude to working with students with learning needs. Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.Great interpersonal skills, and an ability to work as part of a team.The ability to assist with toileting needs, or providing other personal care to students as required. Someone who is fun and full of energy!
