Teaching Aides & Special Needs (Education & Training)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Head teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children.
You will assist teachers in maintaining a safe and clean environment and observe and monitor children's behaviour and progress, reporting any concerns to the Head teacher. A large part of this role is providing support to children during activities, meals, and rest periods, fostering positive relationships with parents and families.
This role will support our teaching team with diverse learners, which may involve covering our permanent teachers to spend time with the children and support them directly through routines and play.
Here's what you'll do on a day-to-day basis:
Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki.
Champion team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki's learning.
Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary.
Support centre operations at all levels.
This is a permanent position working 15 hours per week Wednesday to Friday until the 20th December 2024.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children—especially infants and toddlers—and experience working with children under five is a must. You'll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
