Details of the offer

If you're an experienced social worker and like the idea of having an influence at a systematic level to get stuff done in the family violence field, we need to chat. We're looking for a full-time Te Kauru Coordinator to join the team as part of a nationwide initiative.
As Te Kauru Coordinator, you will provide coordination and leadership for the daily Te Kauru Safety Assessment Meeting that involves 14 local agencies in the family violence field. You will have oversight of coordinated responses and safety planning for families and whanau; management of the Family Safety System and collation and integration of data to report on trends, issues and successes of the Te Kauru response system.
Your experience in social work (with a focus in family violence), will allow you complete risk and safety assessments and triage them out to the relevant agencies. Your ability to coordinate will ensure the various agencies are able to work together cohesively – you will drive this by leading the daily meetings and ensuring all members know what's going on and they have the information they need. Your innate ability to think quickly and make decisions will ensure family and whanau are safe. This is key.
You will have good administrative & IT skills, as you will have oversite of the Family Safety System. If you've heard of Power BI, that's what you'll be working in. If you haven't heard it, don't be afraid! As long as you have the capability to learn it, you'll be fine.
We'd love it if you had a social worker qualification, and ideally registration with a professional body. You will need experience in the family violence field, this is important work and you need to know what you're doing!
At Te Manawa Family Services, we're a small but mighty team of 18 and we're diverse in more ways than one. We genuinely care about the wellbeing of our team and are committed to social work pay equity bands. We know you're worth it.
This role is permanent full-time, 37.5 hours p/w, Monday to Friday. There is flexibility around family/life commitments – we get it!
Interested? Contact Genna on 021 537 875 or ****** to learn more about the role.
