Tax Manager

The Role
We are currently representing an established multi-partner CA firm with a lengthy history in the Auckland market, seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Assistant Manager looking for a step up in a generalist tax function with a focus on inbound & outbound work.

As Tax Manager, you'll be working closely alongside the Partners on a diverse range of advisory and consulting projects.
The large proportion of compliance work is taken care of by the BAS team, allowing you to focus on more technical tax projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include reviews, managing client relationships, and handling higher-level technical projects.
You'll manage a broad portfolio of clients, which includes NZ-owned entities, HNIs, and cross-border tax clients.
You will also be involved in Transfer Pricing across inbound and outbound engagements.
Ideal Candidate

Prior tax compliance & advisory experience within a CA firm, preferably from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
Strong communication, client, and stakeholder management experience.
Experience in using Xero, APS, CCH, and/or TaxLab.
You could be an experienced Tax professional currently looking for a transition towards more advisory-based work, or someone moving from a commercial tax environment into practice.
Experience in corporate/deferred tax would be advantageous.
