Mo te turanga / About the role An exciting opportunity has become available for a senior nurse to advance their nursing practice based in Taupo as the Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Designated Prescriber. In this CNS role, you will be expected to apply specialist knowledge and provide expert nursing advice to patients with complex respiratory conditions to achieve best patient outcomes. The role includes facilitating nurse-led clinics in Taupo and Turangi, so you will need a current driver's license.
The successful candidate will be proactive and able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team. They will have excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills; excellent communication and people management skills; and have proven case management and clinical leadership skills.
There is an expectation that the candidate will be a nurse prescriber or have a minimum post-graduate certificate qualification with the ability to complete a pharmacology paper and prescribing practicum within 12 months of appointment to this role.
