Of course, you will need to head east and live in our great little city and live the life we all enjoy in sunny Gisborne.
In true Gisborne style, we close at 8 pm most nights so that we can get up early with the sun and have a surf or swim.
Sunshine Brewery is an iconic Gisborne business, and our Taproom operation is the venue of choice for Gisborne locals and tourists alike.
Our focus is on the 24 beers we pour, all made here under the passionate eye of our American Import, Jesse Foley, "the beer whisperer" but our pizzas and friendly crew also attract people in.
The taproom is the heart of our public offering, and we are searching for a Manager with a minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality management to come and be part of our awesome forward-thinking management team.
You will have full control of the taproom operation, brewery functions and be charged with growing this iconic and fantastic venue/experience.
Skills and Experience: • Current managers certificate • Experience in a similar role – 2 years minimum • Track record of outstanding team play and customer service • Beer enthusiast • Good time management Attributes: • A go-getter, with a contagious positive attitude that contributes their thoughts and ideas and helps build our culture and brand with both staff and customers • High performer, who can demonstrate beer and food knowledge, driving top-notch service and accountability • Able to work collaboratively with the management team • Have passion about our products, standards, and leads the entire team to ensure that our culture is promoted throughout the entire brewery and Taproom Responsibilities and Duties: • Meeting or exceeding KPI's as set by management eg.
Budgets • Shift management – opening and closing procedures • Staff rostering • Stock ordering and control • Flexibility to help out when and where needed if things go crazy Help with relocation within NZ could be arranged for the right person.
Must be a NZ citizen or hold a current work visa.
