The Oyster Inn, Waiheke Island is a much-loved beach-chic bistro, perched above Oneroa with gorgeous views across the bay.
We are known for serving fresh, simple and delicious food, with a focus on fish, shellfish and classic dishes with a twist. 
We are looking for passionate and skilled Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to join our dynamic team ready for an exciting summer season and beyond!
Key responsibilities: Support the Head Chef and work with the kitchen team to prepare food that consistently exceeds customer expectations and produce menu items to the highest standard.
Responsibility for the operation of a designated section of the kitchen.Perform food preparation tasks in the kitchen, to assist in the preparation of dishes.Ensure that recipes and measurements are strictly adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality and cost control.Develop skills by working in different sections of the kitchen.Impart knowledge and training to junior kitchen team when necessary.Plan and execute menus in collaboration with our Head and Sous Chef.Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards.Ensure all equipment is well maintained, operational and work environments are kept clean and organised.A solid understanding of kitchen service along with proficiency in the mechanics of a busy service.A desire to make your mark and contribute to the team and success of the restaurant.Qualifications: 12 months relevant work experience as a chef in a busy restaurant
