This life-changing opportunity offers enriching experiences culturally, in the wilderness, and as part of a tight-knit team in a rare aspect of the tourism business.A land of epic waterfalls and wetlands, rich cultural sites and some of the world's most diverse plant and animal life, Kakadu is recognized as a double World Heritage listed National Park at the heart of an Australian adventure.Job DescriptionReporting to the General Manager, you will be hands-on and will have a strong HR background ensuring that the Talent & Culture team contributes a high level of Human Resources generalist knowledge and expertise for the hotel & hotel team.Conduct a benefits survey of similar properties in the area including a comparison of benefits given (e.g. housing, education allowance, medical cover, etc.) in order to compare and adjust benefits to be in line with market practice.Ensure recruitment and selection process is adhered to and that appropriate procedures are carried out.Process medical papers for employees of all levels in preparation for securing employment visas.Ensure Employee action forms and benefits commencement dates are accurate for salaried hires, transfers, or re-hires and likewise ensure that transferring and terminated forms are processed accurately.Audit enrolments, waivers, terminations, and billings by insurance monthly, quarterly, and annually, ensuring the accuracy of records.Facilitate, organize, and administer New Hire sign-in.Responsible for processing all necessary papers for reimbursement.File all general documents and correspondence and ensure confidentiality in all matters relating to the Talent & Culture department.Update employee records regarding incident reports and accumulated leave days.Authorize and control sick leave of employees under workers' compensation.Maintain good working relationships with the management team while ensuring confidentiality and quality patient care.Assist and provide information for payroll.Assist in coaching sessions, retraining, and supporting colleagues in the hotel.Assist with creative poster campaigns and all events organized by the Talent & Culture Department.Actively involved in coordinating and promoting the annual Health, Safety, and Wellness Fair.QualificationsPERSONAL ATTRIBUTESExcellent planning and organizational skillsAbility to communicate with colleagues at all levelsAbility to work in a multi-cultural environmentConfident in exercising good judgment in decision-making skills.Go-getter; comfortable taking ownership of projects and expanding the scope of responsibilities.EXPERIENCEPrevious experience in a similar HR role within hospitalityAdditional InformationTo work as a part of a team within a remote community requires dynamic flexibility and strong leadership.
