Whakarongorau aims to be there when face to face health and social services cannot, providing consistent, clinically supported access to services for those in need or when people are unable to access other options due to location, time of day, financial or cultural barriers.Job DescriptionWhakarongorau supports a comprehensive range of clinics across Aotearoa, consisting of a mix of nurse-led and Health Care Assistant (HCA) assisted clinics. These clinics employ both in-person and remote Takuta (Doctors) to ensure continuity of care for our registered patients, primarily serving high-needs rural communities and priority populations.This is a contract role for 6 - 12 months and you must have availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week (Monday to Friday)As a Takuta (Doctor) with Whakarongorau you will:Provide care tailored to meet the unique needs of our patientsCollaborate with clinic nurses and HCAs to deliver optimal healthcare servicesIntegrate seamlessly with the clinic team to enhance patient careConduct remote telehealth consultations effectively and efficientlyUnderstand local services and work to overcome barriers to accessing these servicesQualificationsWe are seeking an experiencedTakuta(Doctor) with appropriate scope or a Matanga Rongoa Whanui(General Practitioner) who is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
