Whanganui District Council is currently seeking applications for the role of Systems Engineer within the Information Services Department. About the role: This position is responsible for providing end-to-end technical support for all of our Council systems and devices. You will be providing support and resolutions for all IT service requests as well as leading the management of the Council's computer systems, devices inventory, repair, replacement, allocation, and purchasing processes.
About you: The ideal candidate requires exceptional customer service skills with excellent written and oral communication, having the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers. You will be a great team player with strong attention to detail and exceptional problem resolution skills. You will possess an appetite to learn and develop your knowledge and skills in many diverse and complex technical systems, devices, and applications.
Additionally, you will have a strong background in system and device maintenance, Microsoft applications, desktop and server operating systems, and a proven ability to deploy, manage, and resolve issues with devices and systems.
