Position:Systems Engineer

About the Role (Your Why) As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, supporting and customising developed systems software and firmware for customers.
This role will involve operating Datacom's technical infrastructure including corporate hardware and software as well as providing corporate systems for the Datacom Business.
Your knowledge, and more importantly ability to learn and apply your skills, will lead to success in the role and for the team.
We build and run numerous key systems for some great Kiwi companies and we keep their businesses running by supporting them from anywhere in New Zealand.
As a result, we are passionate about getting the results that the customer needs and adding value to their business.
Our offices are based in Christchurch.

What You'll Do Design and implement systems and infrastructure based on client requirementsProvide technical support and troubleshooting for systems and infrastructureMonitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of systems and infrastructureCollaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and operation of systemsStay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the industryWe are a pretty agile company and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders' changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.
What You'll Bring On the technical side, you should have plenty of experience with Windows Server Technologies.
The successful applicant would be expected to be well versed in:
Microsoft operating system and Windows ServersActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, DFSVirtualisation technologies (VMware)Understanding of Core Networking principalsMicrosoft systems and servicesRemote Desktop ServicesPowerShell scripting and AutomationIt would be desirable if you also had the following skills:
