We are looking for an experienced accountant with a natural affinity for systems and Excel modelling to join our Finance department at our Head Office in Christchurch, Canterbury. In this impactful role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our financial systems and processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Systems and Financial Accountant bridges the gap between our financial processes and systems, requiring a strong understanding of accounting principles, advanced Excel modelling skills, and a keen interest in leveraging technology to optimize financial processes. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain best practice Excel models to support financial analysis and decision-making.
Collaborate with Data Analyst, IT and finance teams to enhance and integrate financial systems.
Analyse financial data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information within the systems.
Assist in the implementation and testing of new financial software and systems.
Provide training and support to finance team members on system functionalities.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Provide assistance with monthly, quarterly, annual financial reporting and budgeting/forecast reporting as needed.
Qualifications & preferred skills:
Minimum 4 years' experience in financial analysis and accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and data insight tools such as BI360 and Power Query.
Financial planning and analysis.
Strong affinity for systems and experience with financial software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to translate financial concepts to users with diverse experience and backgrounds and interpret requests from such users to develop fit for purpose financial tools.

FarmRight Limited is a growing farm investment management and consultancy company specialising in the dairy farming industry, with recent expansion into horticulture. We currently manage over 60 farms across New Zealand on behalf of a range of investors or clients. FarmRight Corporate has 58 staff and is involved in the management of approximately 350 farming staff.
