About the role
We are looking for a Systems and Automation Engineer to join the team at our Ashburton plant. You will be responsible for optimizing the industrial process of manufacturing while maintaining automated machinery used in the process. As well, you will conduct troubleshooting and maintenance activities to optimize the performance of all automated manufacturing machinery in the entire site. You will receive $120,000 per annum working 45 hours per week.
As a Systems and Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:

Lead and work with engineers to install, maintain and troubleshoot control systems and various automation processes.
Produce detailed engineering documentation that is clear and concise.
Prepare Functional Descriptions.
Work with stakeholders to define systems requirements.
Ensure that changes reflect the direction of the agreed roadmap, company standards and guidelines.
Implement changes to meet updated requirements and assist with commissioning.

Qualifications
For this role, you'll need:

Engineering tertiary trade qualification.
5 years of relevant experience.
Electrical training.
Computer skills – intermediate plus across all MS programs.
Platform experience (preferred but not essential).
