About the Role:
In this fixed-term role as an OSS DevOps Engineer, you will work with Kordia's team to support critical OSS systems that operate alongside core networks, focusing on network management, monitoring, and alarming solutions. You will integrate various open-source and proprietary technologies, helping to enhance the operational support infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrate OSS solutions with existing network monitoring and management systems.
Develop and optimize scripts in Python and automate processes using Ansible.
Collaborate closely with the team on network alarming projects related to maritime safety.
Support OSS systems alongside core networks, ensuring consistent operational performance.
Work across teams to implement API integrations, especially within a maritime safety context.
Key Skills and Experience:
5 years in OSS, DevOps, System engineer or a related engineering role, with a strong grasp of network monitoring.
Experience with APIs.
Proficiency with a range of automation tools and scripting languages, such as Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible.
Skilled in build and development tools and environments, including Docker, Git, Python, test frameworks, Jira, and database management.
Familiarity with various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and BSD distributions like Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, and FreeBSD.
Strong ability to learn new systems and integrate various solutions.
Comfortable working collaboratively in a team, taking clear direction, and adhering to process.
