Swim School Instructor

The Stratford District Council is looking for the right people to provide effective swim tuition to our customers. The instructors will be responsible for delivering lessons for primary to intermediate aged school children.
Minimum Qualifications:
SNZ Assistant Swim Teacher Award
Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety
National Certificate in Recreation and Sport - Aquatics (Swim Education) Level 3
A current First Aid certificate.
There are term time only, casual and part time roles available. Please note this vacancy may close earlier than advertised if the positions are filled.
These positions will be located at the Wai O Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford. The salary range for qualified instructors is $23 - $28.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications.
About You:
You will be an enthusiastic leader who thrives encouraging others to succeed. You will deliver a safe and supportive experience while ensuring users enjoy the experience.
You will have an understanding of life-saving methods including resuscitation and have experience in teaching school groups. A pool lifeguard practicing certificate and a swimming pool water treatment certificate would be an advantage.
