We will provide you with all the training required; you'll just need to bring a can-do attitude and be prepared to be in the water to teach our Tamariki swimming skills.This part-time position (14.25 hours per week) offers flexibility to work around your life.
The hours of work will vary from term time to school holidays.The hours of work for this position are:Tuesday 3:15pm - 6:15pmFriday 9:45am - 2:15pmSaturday 8:00am - 12:00pmYou will need to be able to commit to working all of the shifts above.ResponsibilitiesAs a Dash Swim Instructor, you will help teach our future generation about Water Safety and Swimming.
You will be responsible for:Instructing learn-to-swim lessons in the pool, with up to 6 children per classInstructing school lessons with up to 10 children per classEnsuring children are safe during the lessonsTeaching specific water safety lessonsProviding excellent customer service and effective communication to caregivers regarding the child's progressionWe will provide all the training you need for this role.
You will become first aid qualified, which provides 4 NCEA credits.
You'll also have the opportunity to complete a NZ Certificate in Aquatics Level 3 (40 credits) and Level 4 (120 credits).QualificationsYou will need to be positive and energetic and be confident in the water.
Enthusiasm for working with children is required, and we offer full training and qualifications to all Dash Instructors.
