We manage infrastructure, environmental conservation, community development, and regulatory services, responding to thousands of community interactions each year while proactively addressing local needs and challenges.As a Swim Coach at Waitaki District Council, you will lead and deliver squad training programmes, fostering excellence in athlete performance.
You'll work closely with the Programme Lead to coordinate pool schedules, enhance pathways from Learn to Swim to squad training, and ensure a seamless progression for swimmers of all ages.In this dynamic role, you'll also mentor and develop swim teachers, cover lifeguard and reception shifts as needed, and manage the marketing and administration of squad programmes.
This is a hands-on opportunity to engage directly with the community, promoting health and wellbeing while contributing to a thriving aquatic environment.He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bringThe preferred candidate will have:Qualifications and Certifications: Relevant coaching, swim instructor, and lifeguard qualifications, a current First Aid Certificate, and a satisfactory police vet under the Children Act 2014.
