Our mission is to work alongside businesses to minimise their environmental impact and support Kiwis in making responsible purchasing decisions.Eco Choice is a member of the Global Ecolabeling Network (GEN) and recognised by the likes of the New Zealand and Australian Green Building Councils, Infrastructure Sustainability Council, B Corp and U.S Environmental Protection Agency's Federal Purchasing Programme.The RoleThe Sustainability Partnerships Manager will play a critical role as the ecolabel goes through an exciting period of business transformation and growth. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, this role is responsible for researching and actively seeking out business development opportunities, with a strong emphasis on relationship building and management.You will help guide businesses through the regular auditing process and triage any technical queries. Additionally, you will lead or be involved in other innovative project work to enhance Eco Choice's profile and accessibility throughout Aotearoa.While this position has a sales element, it is not a typical high-volume role. It's about long-term relationships and collaborating for genuine impact. Therefore, a partnering and solutions-focused approach is essential.What you'll bring:Experience in client-facing sales/development roles;Ideally, but not essential, some experience working in the sustainability sector in Aotearoa;A genuine interest in sustainability;Enthusiasm for working alongside businesses long-term to help minimise environmental impact and raise standards;Solutions mindset, particularly when faced with uncertainty or changing circumstances;Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills;Stakeholder engagement;Confidence using computers and software (e.g., Word, Excel);Self-motivated;Proactive and an ability to work independently in a high-trust environment.Why you'll love working with us:As an employee of Eco Choice Aotearoa, you'll join a small but capable team, committed to ensuring the sustainability of our motu and planet for future generations.
