Surveyor - Stockton Mine 10275 Bathurst Resources Ltd currently operates Stockton Opencast Mine which is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand's largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world's leading steel makers.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Survey Team at our Stockton Mine Operations. Surveyors who are enthusiastic about joining the mining industry are encouraged to apply for this position.
Current roster pattern is Monday to Friday. Ideally you will have a formal technical qualification and experience in using GPS and survey equipment.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Survey mark out for mine development, exploration drilling, and civil works projects. Conduct topographical/as-built surveys using site equipment (GPS/drone/scanner/total station) and provide survey data to meet operational requirements. Update survey databases and maintain the integrity of survey digital records. Communicate with Technical and Operating Departments to ensure all production and development requirements are met Accurate and timely provision of EOM physical surveys and reporting Interpret designs and provide survey control for all mining related activities, civils work, and incident reporting. Monitoring of ground/wall movement for geotechnical reporting.
