Employing approximately 90 staff over seven locations across the South Island, they are a highly regarded multi-disciplinary consultancy founded well over 100 years ago.The firm combines most aspects of land development under one roof and services a mixture of large and small clients across multiple districts and regions. Having recently heavily invested in their IT systems and modernising the business as a whole, now is the ideal time to join the team and become an influential member of the organisation.You will work on projects from conception until completion, collaborating with the experienced in-house surveyors and engineers. The highly experienced principals of each sector not only provide a solid foundation for career development but also provide the capability to take on more challenging and complex projects that build on the team's skillset.You willHave extensive knowledge of resource management planning in New Zealand along with a planning and/or resource management degreeHave practical and all-round planning experienceHold or be eligible for New Zealand Planning Institute membershipHave a minimum of 5 years of experience in the resource management planning sectorHave the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously on projects both locally and out of regionPossess excellent interpersonal skills along with an ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholdersThe roleAs the most senior planner in this office you will be provided with leadership opportunities as the team grows and given the opportunity to develop your career as you identify your next steps. The role offers great potential for professional and leadership development. Your success in this position is dependent on exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
