They are looking for an experienced Survey Technician to join their Christchurch team. This role and organization will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a medium-sized consultancy with a tight-knit team while still allowing you to work on international projects.This presents an excellent chance to become part of an organization that places a strong emphasis on its culture of collaboration and focus, something they pride themselves on across their multiple offices throughout New Zealand.Minimum Requirements:You will have:- Diploma or degree in surveying, geospatial sciences, or a related field.- Proficiency in surveying techniques and equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collection software.- Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.- Demonstrated track record as a survey technician, with a combination of office & site-based experience.- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain.- Exceptional analytical skills, adept at problem-solving and decision-making.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct field surveys using the latest surveying equipment and technology to collect precise data on land, structures, and infrastructure.- Assist in processing and managing survey data, including the use of industry-standard software and tools for data analysis.- Work closely with planners, engineers, and other team members to provide essential surveying support for a wide range of projects.- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to foster positive relationships and ensure project success.The organization has been operating across New Zealand for over five decades and has expanded to service most areas of the country.
